وی اظهار داشت: امروز ایران به عنوان پایتخت و ام القرای جهان اسلام مورد توجه همه كشورهایی است كه در آنها جنبش های اسلامی شكل گرفته است.

رییس سازمان بسیج اساتید ادامه داد: هر چند در عرصه های مختلف علمی مانند هسته ای، هوا فضا و سلول های بنیادین به دستاوردهایی رسیده ایم اما با دانشگاه های اسلامی، فاصله زیادی داریم.

صلاحی خاطرنشان كرد: دانشگاه اسلامی، دانشگاهی است كه فارغ التحصیلان آن هم متخصص و هم متعهد باشند.

وی یادآور شد: تنها از حدود 20 درصد ظرفیت دانشگاه های كشور استفاده می شود كه برای تبدیل شدن به قدرت بین المللی باید افزایش یابد.

صلاحی همچنین گفت: ما امروز یك قدرت برتر منطقه ای هستیم اما این كافی نیست و باید به یك قدرت بین المللی تبدیل شویم.

وی همچنین به تشریح فعالیت سازمان بسیج اساتید پرداخت و گفت: این سازمان خدمات مشاوره ای در حوزه های مختلف به دولت های نهم و دهم ارایه كرده است.

صلاحی خاطر نشان كرد: سازمان بسیج اساتید به عنوان نهاد اصلی مشاوره ای فعالیت نمی كند بلكه در هر كجا كه احساس نیاز كند پیشنهادهای خود را ارایه می كند.
